I wish there was a way to rate them zero stars, for one is one to many. Quick synopsis of why I feel this way: Their poor supervision allowed my dog to escape, they waited to tell us she was missing, lied about how long she had been missing, and refused to pay retribution for the injuries she sustained while she was missing (she got hit by a car). Last December we boarded my dog at Bark Central while we took a family vacation to Florida. A few days into our trip we received a call that my dog had escaped from the kennel. They gave us multiple stories as to how and why this occurred, but from what we deduced from the only common elements to all the stories, when they let her out for playtime with another dog, this playtime was not supervised. They didn't know how she escaped, because nobody was watching her at this time. When they discovered she was missing, they did search for her, but nobody notified us (we had family in the area who she knew, and would've quickly come to). They waited until an entire day had passed, and they no longer had any idea where she was before they called us. While they did make posters, these posters did not have her photo on them and were actually misleading, as the dog pictured on them did not look like my dog. They then lied to us about when she had gone missing. I can only assume that they thought they would catch her and wouldn't have to tell us they had lost our dog. The owner did not even want his employees checking shelters or hanging flier, because it would be "bad publicity". (Thankfully they did anyways, the staff does care about pets, but their management and policies do not). They had also removed her collar, but not placed any other form of identification on her (many kennels use paper collars), and so after a few days on her own, she would have looked like a stray. As a result of their negligence and delay, it took an entire two weeks before we finally found my dog. This was not the result of any efforts on their part, but rather because I flew back on the next flight after hearing the news and spent the entirety of those two weeks canvassing social networking sites, printing and hanging posters and actively searching for my dog. When we did finally find her, she had been hit by a car and suffered broken bones in her paw. This required extensive and expensive surgery. The owner of Bark Central refused to pay for any of the expenses we incurred as a result of this process (not to mention all the extreme emotional damage). All in all, I warn any and all pet owners to stay far away from Bark Central
