Bow & Barrel Outfitters at Lewis Lodge is a full service whitetail and turkey outfitter in northeast Missouri and south central Iowa zone 5, offering top quality bow, rifle and muzzle loader hunts on outstanding deer and turkey ground. The lodge is a clean comfortable hunting camp with all the amenities of home. We have over 60 years of combined hunting, guiding and hunting camp managing experience. 

Ask yourself this question. Am I buying a hunt, or am I buying into an outfitter's marketing campaign? Any outfitter can have a slick content filled web site or glossy brochure filled with claims of thousands of acres, high rebook rates, and shot opportunities over 100%. It doesn't make it true. 

Let me start by telling you what you will NOT find at Bow & Barrel Outfitters at Lewis Lodge. You will not find anything extreme, ( or is that "Xtreme?), a "team" this or that, a pro staff, or claims of "a hunt of a lifetime" or promises of "the monster buck of your dreams." That stuff is just marketing and means nothing when camo hits the woods.

What you will find is a clean comfortable hunting camp with great meals and everything taken care of so you can focus on hunting. You will find outstanding hunting ground with low hunting pressure, Ameristep Bone Collector series ladder stands hung perfectly and in the right spot, Antler King food plots, Lucky Buck mineral licks, and an outfitter and guides committed to providing a great hunt.

We only book six deer hunters a week to keep pressure low. All Missouri deer hunts are 5 days/six nights except our second rifle hunt which is 4 days/5 nights, and include food and lodging. Our hunt schedule for the 2012 deer season is as follows:

IOWA Bow and Shotgun Hunts.

Bow and Barrel Outfitters will be in south central IOWA Zone 5 in 2012 running a very limited number of bow, shotgun and muzzle loader hunts. We will release our hunt dates soon. 

MISSOURI TURKEY HUNTS

The season runs from April 16th thru May 6th but the first week you can only kill one bird. The $190 tag is good for 2 birds and at Bow & Barrel there is NO trophy fee for the second bird. We recommend hunting the second or third week of the season. With our low pressure and lots of long beards any time is good hunting. 

A 3 day semi guided hunt is only $600.
