Columbia Transmissions “to go”provides transmission repairs, remanufacturing, axle repairs, and 4-wheel drive transfer cases to the people of Columbia, MO, and surrounding areas including Boone County. Our professional mechanics work on all models of automatic and maunal shift cars, SUVs, pickups, and minivans. We are family owned and operated offering more than 85 years of combined experience in the automotive industry.

Transmission problem?

We are here to help by providing a high level of integrity, individualized service, and of course, competitive prices! First, Columbia Transmission provides you with a free road test and external inspection, which enables us to tell you if you are having transmission problems or not. If you don’t, we can normally identify the problem and make the proper recommendations.

Our Business

Our transmission shop is a proud member of the non-profit organization known as the Automatic Transmission Rebuilder’s Association (ATRA). As an ATRA member our automatic transmission repair shop adheres to the service and repair definitions, which are a part of the ATRA bylaws and code of ethics.

Columbia Transmission pledges to our customers that we will diagnose transmission problems for all of our local and surrounding central Missouri area customers in an honest and expert manner. Our transmission repair shop strives to provide prompt and courteous service to all who visit our repair facility in the hope that you will come back to us for all of your transmission repair needs.

Our company honors most extended warranties, and we provide a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty on most automatics. Ask us about our 3-year, 50,000-mile warranty! In addition to our warranties, we also offer free local towing with major repairs.
