About Dr. Schaefer
Dr. David A. Schaefer is a native of Independence, Missouri, where he attended William Chrisman High School. After attending Graceland University for two years, he transferred to the University of Missouri Kansas City, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He continued at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree.

Dr. Schaefer is committed to staying on the cutting edge of the latest trends available in the field of dentistry, and maintains memberships with such prestigious organizations as the American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, Greater Kansas City Dental Society and the Eastern Jackson County Dental Health Group. In addition, he is a past member of the Independence Advisory Board of Health.

He and his wife, Melissa, have a daughter, Danielle, who is a freshman at William Jewell College this year. They are involved in many community and school activities. As board members of the Edward G. and Kathryn E. Mader Foundation, they participate in charitable giving to organizations that benefit children in Eastern Jackson County.

In his spare time, Dr. Schaefer enjoys playing golf, basketball and tennis. His other interests include cooking, flying radio controlled helicopters and building sandcastles.

Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
