About Us

Welcome to Dawn Shield's Photography, a premier Portrait and Wedding Photograher located in Springfield, MO.  Dawn and her team specialize in photographing all occasions including commercial, wedding, portraits and senior photos.

Dawn has traveled to 5 different countries to study with the world’s top photographers. Dawn’s name has become synonymous with sophisticated, breathtaking and romantic images. She recently received not only first place in albums at the 2010 WPPI international competition (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) in her category, but also took home the Grand Album Award.

Another accolade includes being named a 2009 international award winning photographer by WPPI.  Dawn has also had the honor of having her work published in the two leading photography magazines in the industry, Rangefinder and PDN. Both publications have done full stories on her and her photography business.

Along with a busy photography schedule, Dawn is also the owner and editor in chief of Metropolitan Bride Magazine and Wedding Expos. Dawn also makes times to help educate up and coming photographers from across the US by hosting photography workshops and classes, as well as platform speaking at photography conventions. As Dawn is always striving to stay atop the industry, gaining inspiration and education, she attends photography workshops world wide. Her heart for artistry and passion for the photography and wedding industry truly shines in everything she does.
