Cost-Effective Maintenance Plans
In today's world of fast-rising energy costs, an HVAC reconditioning is an excellent way to help manage energy costs. Leaky ducts and residue buildup in HVAC systems can cost American businesses millions of dollars each year. According to the U.S. Dept. of Energy, "Typical duct systems lose 25 percent to 40 percent of the heating or cooling energy put out by the central furnace, heat pump or air conditioner. Duct systems lose energy in two ways: by conduction of heat from the warm surface, and air leakage through small cracks and seams."*
Cleaning your HVAC system helps restore the energy efficiency of the equipment you purchased and significantly extends the equipment's life span. DUCTZ professionals are certified, qualified and trained in HVAC system cleaning, restoration and maintenance.
Professionalism and Expertise
The industry-leading principles and practices employed by DUCTZ professionals have helped to advance the industry by creating new, patented duct cleaning processes. DUCTZ continues to lead the way in certification, training and development.
DUCTZ Quality Assurance
The DUCTZ quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) promise is to provide verification of duct cleaning and HVAC system restoration that follows consistent, standardized procedures to ensure that the cleaning and restoration process complies with the combined provisions of the ANSI/ACCA (Restoring the Cleanliness of HVAC systems) the ANSI/IICRC's Standard 500 and Standard 520 Water loss and Mold Remediation standards and the NADCA Assessment Cleaning and Restoration ACR2006 standard along with governmental related documents such as the EPA's 402-K-97-002 October 1997.
The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) certification is the recognized benchmark for trained and qualified professionals. Through certification, NADCA members demonstrate their knowledge and proficiency in conducting HVAC assessments, cleaning, and restoration services. DUCTZ professionals are trained to the NADCA standards.
DUCTZ has more certified Air System Cleaning Specialists (ASCS) than any other national organization. DUCTZ requires that each of its owners and most technicians become a certified ASCS to help ensure that all cleaning is performed in accordance with NADCA Standards and Guidelines. Additionally, DUCTZ has instituted other in-house training programs to expand personnel capabilities and expertise beyond the certifications offered by NADCA.
NADCA TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
AIR SYSTEMS CLEANING SPECIALIST
Air Systems Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certification by NADCA signifies a high level of professionalism in the cleaning and restoration industry. Through certification, trained personnel demonstrate requisite knowledge of HVAC system cleaning, NADCA standards, and OSHA regulations. By passing a rigorous certification examination, DUCTZ professionals achieve a reputation of reliability and competence.
CERTIFIED VENTILATION SYSTEM INSPECTOR
NADCA Certified Ventilation System Inspectors (CVSI) undergo training based on the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) I-BEAM program, which provides a structured method of performing inspections, in compliance with NADCA's standards and guidelines. The training and certification examination covers applicable building and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) standards and codes, maintenance and housekeeping programs, diagnosing IAQ problems and reporting findings to building owners.
VENTILATION SYSTEM MOLD REMEDIATOR
The DUCTZ professionals that hold a NADCA Ventilation System Mold Remediator (VSMR) certification undergo training that ensures an understanding of basic microbiological contamination, project assessment, and how to apply NADCA and other industry standards. VSMRs have passed a rigorous examination that tests complete understanding of basic microbiological agents, how to perform project assessment, and the proper application of industry guidelines and standards. Every DUCTZ professional taking the VSMR certification examination must be ASCS certified and must have attended the VSMR training class, or a recognized mold remediation and abatement training program.
