Owner Barbette Jones studied architecture at Penn College in Pennsylvania, and received her degree in Fashion Design at Park College in Missouri. She is a member of Drapery Pro and attends industry show regularly to stay on the cutting edge of new trends, colors, fabrics and accessories.

As an architecture student in college, Barbette learned to appreciate creativity and form,. After finishing her degree in Fashion Design, many of her custom sewing customers asked her to create lovely treatments for their homes, which led her to The Purple Door, specializing in window treatments. Her background and artistic interest shows her flair for style, creative ideas, and an eye for quality. She delights in providing her professional expertise and designing skills creating beautiful products for her clients.
