Manchester Music Violin Shop provides instruments for students of all ages. Perhaps you need your cherished instrument repaired. Maybe you need to buy one for yourself or someone in your life, or maybe it’s time to try out a rental to see if this interest is really going to last.With a variety of offerings to choose from, we’re assure you’ll be happy working with us.

Whatever your needs are, Manchester Music Violin Shop can accommodate you with a sizeable inventory and no small measure of experience. We’ll get just the right instrument into your hands, whether you need a cello, a violin or a viola. Manchester Music Violin Shop is focused on providing high quality service and customer satisfaction-we will do everything we can to meet your expectations.

Rentals

We have violins, violas and cellos of all sizes available for rent. Please inquire regarding pricing and specials for monthly and school year rentals. Our rental programs are designed to complement and to enhance the educational experience of the growing music student. From the beginning, we establish the standards for maintenance and the quality of adjustments expected by the professional players and teachers who frequent our shop. The advantages of renting are that the initial financial commitment and maintenance costs are less. When a student is just beginning musical studies, it is difficult to assess what his or her level of commitment will be or the student may be sure but the parents may have doubts.

Exchanges
If your child needs a larger instrument while you are leasing from us, and exchange will be made at no charge.

Purchase Option
If you choose to purchase an instrument, whatever is spent on rental in the 12 month prior to purchase date will fully apply towards any instrument in our stock that you choose to buy.

Restoration

The goal of the Manchester Music Violin Shop is to provide expert technical information and restoration in order to maintain the peak response and sound from your instrument or bow. We are committed to achieving the highest quality standards in restoration and to communication clearly with our customers

Lessons/TeachersPrivate Lessons

Currently we are offering private instruction in violin, viola, guitar, cello and piano. Standard lesson time is 30 minutes, however other options can be discussed with your instructor.We provide private consulting for string orchestra teachers on left hand technique, right hand technique, methodical problem in a class and any other topic. We also provide consulting for students on all topics related for self study of violin performance. For more info and for registration, contact us @ (636) 527-5588.

Mikhail Lobko

Days Available: Monday – Saturday Fee: $120/month

The educator for more than forty years, Mikhail A. Lobko is recipient of the “Medal of Honor” awarded by the International Center of Trade Organization in 1986.
In USA – recipient of Missouri Scholar Academy Teacher Appreciation Award “In recognition of excellence in teaching and in celebration of the contributions to students’ lives.” 1999.
The author of three published methodical books for violin and viola.

*Mikhail received his M.A. in violin performance & teaching from State Conservatory of music in Russia, 1967.
*From 1966 through 1984 member of State Opera and Ballet Theater, State Chamber Orchestra, State *Symphony Orchestra in Minsk, Belarus.
*Last employment in Russia; State Conservatory of Music Department of Methodical and Practical Study for *Teaching Stringed Instruments – Supervisor of practical curriculum for graduate students.
*Since 1991 Mikhail has been teaching private violin lessons in St. Louis, MO.
