Locally owned and operated, Paint’n Place is nothing but native to Franklin County. Everyone here is originally from the area, and we understand the importance of home-town charm.

Robert Meyer was born right here in Washington, MO. He’s been owner and manager since 1997, and has been working in the business for over 25 years. His experience has led to expertise. For any questions, everyone knows they can go to Bob.

Danota Grus is from Owensville, MO. With a degree in interior design, she knows exactly what she’s talking about. Her color expertise is a talent anyone can use when decorating any room. She also specializes in blinds and window treatments, so if you’re having trouble decorating or accessorizing a room, she can definitely help.

Voice of ColorThis new and improved color collection offers over 1800 colors. These colors are included in nine Harmony collections, or sets of colors that correspond with each other and with today’s trends. For more information, go to the Voice of Color website, where there’s even a personality quiz to see which Harmony collection is right for you.

Don’t forget, our paints are available in all of these colors.
Interior PaintOur interior paints come in nine lines, from professional grade to top of the line. Silken Touch is the best paint Porter has to offer. It is extremely durable and washable. Hi-Hide, Vinyl Flat, Pro-Supreme, Pro-Master 2000, Pro-Vantage, and Pro-Flat finish out our wall paints. Ceiling paints are also available in a flat ceiling white.
Exterior PaintOur Acri-Shield, Acri-Pro, and Advantage 900 lines of exterior paints provide protection for your home. The Acri-Shield LTC formula is designed to work all the way down to 35 degrees Fahrenheit, so even when it’s cold out, Porter works for you.
Primers/SealersPriming is an important step in paint projects. Depending on the surface’s previous finishing, you may need different primers for different projects.

Has the surface had wallpaper removed? Make sure to use an oil-based primer to seal any glue residue left on the wall. Our Sta-Kil line is perfect.

Brand new drywall? MaxBuild will seal it up perfectly.

Our Blank-It primer is our top of the line interior primer. It works on new drywall, it’s tintable, and it helps with color coverage.

Interior StainsPorter’s Wood Guardian and Zar lines of stain comes in 25 readily matched colors and can be matched to anything in between. This interior stain is perfect for cabinetry, trim, or furniture.
Exterior StainsPorterDeck Stain comes in transparent and semi-transparent. Both provide protection from everyday use and abuse, from weather to walking. Wood Guardian’s exterior Solid Color Stain combines the look of wood with the color of paint. These stains can also be matched to a sample provided by you.
