About Us

Dr. Sievers, Professor Emeritus in Biological Engineering, University of Missouri – Columbia, taught courses and conducted research in environmental issues and wastewater treatment for 30 years. Upon leaving the university he joined a small engineering consulting firm where he designed wastewater treatment systems (onsite and decentralized). For 19 months he was employed by the USDA Rural Development to review engineering plans and documents for water and wastewater systems for rural communities across the state of Missouri. Upon leaving USDA, he established his own consulting firm (The Sewage Doctor, LLC), where he designs wastewater treatment systems for onsite and decentralized customers. Dr. Sievers is available for presentations, conferences and short courses for onsite and decentralized systems, including irrigation systems (drip and sprinkler).
