Capital Event Center is Jefferson City's newest and most conveniently located event venue. We host a variety of events, including Wedding Rehearsal Dinners, Wedding Receptions, Reunions, Business Meetings, Conferences, Holiday Parties and Personal Celebrations.
GREAT LOCATION
Located in the heart of Jefferson City, Capital Event Center is just off of Ohio Street and Missouri Boulevard, near the downtown district and retail area. Formerly the Cardwell furniture store, our facility has been newly renovated into a warm and inviting space. We offer a truly spacious and comfortable venue, perfect for making your meeting or event a memorable experience.
VARIETY OF MEETING SPACES
Capital Event Center offers a variety of meeting spaces to best suit your needs. Our Large Space is perfect for Wedding Receptions, Rehearsals, Reunions, conferences and craft shows, with 3,000 square feet of available space to accommodate up to 188 guests comforably. If you need a smaller, more intimate, or private setting for business meetings or events, our operable door can transform our Large Space into smaller spaces. These Private Spaces are ideal for bridal or baby showers, intimate anniversary or birthday parties, and business meetings.
AMENITIES
We provide buffet tables, round tables, chairs and linens, all included in your rental cost. Everything to make your Wedding Reception or Rehearsal Dinner an elegant affair. Our full size kitchen is available with regrigerator, microwave, oven, stove top and double sinks to help make meals easy to manage. If you need catering, we're happy to help with a list of preferred caterers to customize your special event. Take advantage of our full service bar which offers an extensive bar list and the option of providing your guests with an open or cash bar. We provide our own bartender for a $25.00 fee.
AFFORDABLE SPACE FOR YOUR NEXT EVENT
We offer two perfectly sized room options to best suit your event. For a tour, call us at 573-635-5882 to set up an appointment. We would be happy to work with any of your Meeting Room or Wedding Venue needs.
LARGE SPACE OR SMALLER ROOM?
Our large room accommodates 188 guests and rents for $80.00 an hour with a $400.00 deposit. A two hour minimum rental is required with a signed contract.
Our private room accomodates 50 guests and rents for $65.00 an hour with a $200.00 deposit. A two hour minimum rental is required with a signed contract.
Both rooms have:
*Round tables, chairs and linens which are included in the rental prices.
*For your convenience, we can clean up after your event for $50.00 for the private room and $100.00 for the large room.
*No alcohol is allowed to be brought in. A bartender is required at all events offering any alcohol and a fee of $25.00 per hour will be applied to your final bill.
*Optional set up of tables and chairs for a fee of $50.00.
Whether you're having a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, birthday party, reunion, business meeting or any gathering, we would love to make your even a memorable experience! We are available to serve you between the hours of 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday. After hour appointments are available.
We accept Cash, Check, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.

The Capital Event Center is a beautiful place to have any type of event. Very spacious and set up very nicely with a kitchen area in the back and nice work space. Carol works so hard to make your event one that is memorable and stress free. You will not be disappointed when you choose the Capital Event Center to have your event!

The staff at Capital Event Center is so easy to work with. They make holding your event there hassle free. The location is second to none. Easy access right off Missouri Blvd. The building is newly remodeled at looks fantastic! You won't be disappointed!
